This is a special Evansville axe that was marked and used as a civil defense axe, meaning it was likely in a nuclear fallout shelter somewhere.
The spike was slightly chipped so I had it repaired by Ryan Lambracht who also hand made the handle from oak-
It's a VERY curvy handle that is octagonal AND it has a MASSIVE palm swell.
It's a VERY unique axe!
It does have the deep pitting from rust shown. Idk what got onto it but it doesn't affect usability. 
With that said this isn't a go to work axe, it's relatively impractical for all but a few tasks.
